The coronavirus outbreak that started in China took the world by storm, with more countries becoming a part of COVID-19 statistics. However, at this hour of uncertainty and social distancing, Wynn Resorts has taken the initiative to do their bit in containing the COVID-19 pandemic by doing their bit.
Wynn Resorts has donated 240,000 CDC-approved N-95 equivalent respiratory masks, 600,000 surgical masks, 500,000 pairs of medical grade gloves, $750,000 worth of food pallets, to name a few.
Matt Maddox, CEO, Wynn Resorts, also confirmed that the Wynn Employee Foundation has donated $100,000 and $25,000 to Three Square Food Bank in Vegas and Bread of Life Foodbank in Boston, respectively.
He also said that Wynn Resorts was working together with the medical community and charitable partners, ensuring meaningful help is offered where it is needed the most.
While this may true, Wynn Resorts has also taken the initiative to support its employees to survive this period of uncertainty where the other leading companies have imposed unpaid leave on their workforce.
On the contrary, Wynn Resorts has enabled the facility of paid leave for their employees. CEO, Matt Maddox has further implored the federal government to aid corporate companies to support their employees. According to him, he feels it’s in the resort’s best financial interest to keep employees on staff.
“Paying the employees during this time is not only the right thing to do but also an investment in our culture,” He concluded.
